What did you do before Openbox?

Before joining Openbox, I was a policy wonk spending seven years collectively at Conservation International and The Council on Foreign Relations. I believe we can make change in the world through policy and our actions. The first part of my career revolved around policy, and now I'm now focused on actions.

Why do you do the work you do?

I want to do my part to leave the world better than it was when I arrived. Our work at Openbox celebrates culture, deepens awareness, and creates conditions for better living-- either at work or at home. That's something I can be proud of on a daily basis.

What does inclusivity mean to you?

First and foremost it requires awareness. Then it means having empathy toward others, understanding varying perspectives, and creating the conditions for everyone to feel welcome.

When do you feel most like yourself?

Large open dewy green spaces, preferably with a soccer ball. Smells like my childhood and brings back a playful spirit I love.

I spend a lot of time thinking about...

Economic inequality.
